About Us
Maple syrup products have been a part of the Russell family farm in Rome, Pennsylvania, since it was settled by Daniel Russell in 1796. Back then, wooden taps and buckets were used to collect the sweet flowing sap from the trees. Oxen pulled sleds that carried barrels of the sap to a clearing in the woods where it was boiled down in open kettles. The old cabin still stands in the woods to remind us where it all started. Today, we use more modern techniques to bottle maple syrup and make maple candy, which is sold locally and shipped around the country.
The Russell Century farm was established in 1796, and producing maple products is a long-standing part of our history. We use pure, all-natural maple syrup to make our maple candy, maple cream, and a variety of other maple treats.
