About Us
We are the Kroll family- Scott, Hannah, Amelia, and Isla. We are first generation farmers
growing specialty cut flowers and raising heritage breed livestock. While we are a small farm,
we have big dreams to practice self-sustainability for our family and to provide local farm to
family products.
Our flower focus is primarily in dahlias. We grow thousands of dahlia plants in order to
offer freshly cut bouquets in the summer and fall and tuber sales in the spring. Our flowers are a
year long labor of love farming endeavor, and we love sharing the joy and beauty of locally-
grown flowers. We do not use any chemicals or pesticides on our plants, so when you bring
flowers home from Northwood, you can rest assured that you’re not bringing any unwanted
toxins in with them.
Our second love is raising heritage breed livestock. Our largest focus at the moment is
raising quality Tunis sheep for breeding stock, freezer lamb, and fiber production. The Tunis
sheep is an ancient breed that is well-rounded for meat, fiber, and even dairy production. Our
lambs are healthy, humanely cared for with little or no medications, dewormers, or vaccinations.
Tunis meat is flavorful, tender, and lacks any “wool” taste that some consumers are wary of.
Lambs are raised primarily on grass and hay, and they rarely require any grain-finishing.
Tunis wool is soft and lofty and makes for excellent next-to-skin projects. We have mill-
spun yarn available for your crafting purposes. Additionally, we make sheep milk soap from our
hand-milked ewes!
We also offer pasture-raised, medication-free chickens, eggs, and duck eggs from our
flock of heritage breed Cayuga ducks.
